CPP eastern regional Secretariat ready to sue EC if it allows NDC change its candidate

The Eastern Regional Executive members of Convention People’s Party (CPP), have warned the Electoral Commission on rumours that they are in bed with National Democratic Congress (NDC) and want to help them change their candidate, for a more favorable one.

In a statement signed and copied to GhanaPoliticsonline.com by Semefa mawutor,
CPP Regional Secretary and Opoku Nsiah Amaning, *Ag Comms Director , they stated that they are reliably informed that three people filed their nominations on Friday, during the Close of Nomination in the Afram Plains South Constituency and that they will not hesitate to sue the Electoral Commission if they try to change the candidate for the NDC.

For the records, the following people filed as announced by the Returning Officer of the EC at around 5:45pm:
*1. William Hor -NPP*
*2. Yunboe Michael Jordan- CPP*
*3. Kevor Mark-Oliver – NDC*

*CPP EASTERN REGIONAL SECRETARIAT READY TO SUE EC IF IT ALLOWS NDC CHANGE ITS CANDIDATE.*

The Regional Secretariat of the CPP was informed that three people filed their nominations on Friday, during the Close of Nomination in the Afram Plains South Constituency.

For the records, the following people filed as announced by the Returning Officer of the EC at around 5:45pm:
*1. William Hor -NPP*
*2. Yunboe Michael Jordan- CPP*
*3. Kevor Mark-Oliver – NDC*

*CPP knows that we are winning that seat for the party and will not compromise on any set back.*

The party will not hessitate to take legal action against the EC if it allows manipulation by any political party.

We want fairness and equal platform for all .The EC must be bold and firm to maintain its intergrity as being transparent and impartial.
