Condemn the vote rigging or shut up if we protest – NDC youth warns Clergy, CSOs

The youth wing of the opposition NDC has called on the Clergy and Civil Society groups to speak against the Electoral commission’s alleged rigging in the 2020 general elections and the mayhem that broke out in certain parts of the country.

The group is impressing upon the EC to nullify its earlier declaration and announce NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama as president-elect, while it addresses the NDC’s majority in parliament as well.

The group expects the EC to address these concerns by Wednesday, December 16, else they will intensify their campaigns threatening massive protests.

“In the event that they fail to do so, none will have the right to criticize the youth wing of the NDC on its next course of action; protest and positive defiance are just tools in defense of a nation’s democracy”

This was contained in a resolution following a meeting of the party’s youth organizers across the 16 regions, chaired by its national youth organizer George Opare Addo.
