CID Handling Asamoah Gyan Story Arrested For GHC50,000 Fraud

Four Police officers, including CID handling Asamoah Gyan and Sarah Kwabla’s case, Richmond Ayayi have been arrested for allegedly involving themselves in pilfering an amount of over 2 billion old cedis from some Korean gold dealers in Osu Accra

The officers were sent to arrest the Indians who were reportedly stashing huge sums of monies in sacks at a residence in Osu.

The officers are believed to have taken the monies from the suspects, but refused to account for it in full when the matter was reported to their superiors.
The Indians, according to the wife of one of the officers, are business partners of deputy local government minister Baba Jamal. Mr Jamal, she claims , is involved in gold business with the Indians.
