C.K Tedam Turns 90

Chairman of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), C.K Tedam has joined the respectable and exclusive club of nonagenarians.

Hundreds of sympathizers from the NPP and outside it, especially people of Northern extraction stormed his Mamprobi residence to give him a befitting support for the memorable occasion.

Beneficiaries of his philanthropic deeds, the payment of fees and provision of accommodation to people from his part of the Upper East Region, among other gestures, formed a sizeable segment of the attendees of the occasion at his Mamprobi residence in Accra.

The NPP delegation which included Acting National Chairman, Freddie Blay, Frema Osei Opare, Kamal Deen Abdulai, Aminu Amadu, Kaleem Business to the function was expectedly prominent and large.

The NPP and its presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, presented an undisclosed amount of money and gifts towards the occasion.

Nonagenarian CK Tedam, who looked strong, lucid and in high spirit, was grateful for the turnout.

His voice rang out in high decibel, belying his advanced age.

CK Tedam requested for unity within the NPP and prayed for progress of his country Ghana in the years ahead.

His many well-wishers would want him to live to be 120 so they can continuously tap from his good counsel.

He could be on his way to witnessing many more years in the journey of life with his bill of good health which he dangled through his good looks and strength of spirit and physiology.

In his brief but poignant remarks, he prayed that the people of Chiana-Paga would honour him by voting for the NPP of which he is a founding member and the chairman of the Council of Elders.

He expressed his unqualified gratitude to his countless well-wishers originating from all walks of life, some of them perhaps not known to him.

Interestingly and coincidently President John Mahama also hit 57 at about the same time as his father alongside CK Tedam.

The father of the current President and CK Tedam were the early political torchbearers from the then Northern Territories.
