Breaking News: Press following Mahama involved in accident, one in critical condition

Information reaching Adomonline.com indicates that the Western Regional Press Corp that followed President John Dramani Mahama to commission one of the free day SHS has been involved in an accident.

The accident, a reporter with Takoradi-based Twin City Radio told Adomonline.com in an interview that the journalists were returning from Bameako in the Western Region where the President commissioned a free day SHS.

Frederica Mensah said that the accident happened at Biaho near Apremdo.

The vehicle of the press corps who were covering President Mahama’s campaign tour of the region was rammed by two other vehicles in a confused traffic situation.

A reporter with Accra-based Citi FM, Obrempong Yaw Ampofo is critically injured and has been rushed to the Kwesimintim hospital in Takoradi.

The President is currently on a tour of the Western Region.
