Ghana’s vice president Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawunia is a “visionless” leader who has no clue to fix the hardship being experienced by Ghanaians under the watch of his boss, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo led government.
Those were the words of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman hopeful for weija- Gbawe constituency in the Greater Accra region, John Afful who seem to be furious over recent conduct of Dr. Bawumia.
In a very rare outburst, Mr. Afful urged Dr. Bawumia to stop the talk-shop and focus on addressing the sky rocketing cost of living which according to Mr. Afful was making life unbearable for Ghanaians.
His comment follows recent engagement of war of words between former president John Mahama and vice president Mahamudu Bawumia over the former comment that the newly deployed National Digital property Address system is fraudulent.
” Dr. Bawumia is a visionless person who cannot help the president to fufill promises the party made in the run up to election 2016. Because he has no clue hence his resolve to engage in media war with Ghanaians who have problems with his sense of direction and managerial skills” John Afful told this reporter.
Mr. John Afful stated among others that evidence of Dr. Bawumia “visionless” as the leader of government economic managemnt team is the results of sharp increase in the prices of goods and services, high cost of utilities, fuel prices in less than a year the New Patriotic Party took over power from the NDC.
He noted that the NPP government has since assumption of office superintendent over development that worsened the plight of the Ghanain worker as well as threaten the peace in the country.
He questioned the commitment of president Nana Akuffo Addo government to deal with rampaging NPP vigilante groups who he said on daily basis visit mayhem on innocent Ghanaians.
Mr. Afful said his count indicate that more that twenty incidents of vigilante violence pepertuated by groups aligned to the ruling party have so been recorded since president Akufo Addo was declared winner of the 2016 polls.
The NDC communicator bemoaned how activities of the rampaiging government party boys had reached zenith with even attacks on police stations and the judiciary in the name of freeing lawless colleagues in police custody.
Mr. Afful assured Ghanaians to have faith in the opposition NDC to turn around their fortunes as the NDC seriously prepares to recapture political power from the ruling party in the year 2020.
