Bawumia ends Northern Regional ‘Thank you’ tour

The Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has climaxed his four days Northern Regional “Thank you” meeting with family relations and New Patriotic Party members in Walewale, his hometown.

With the exclusion of Nanung traditional area, the Vice President visited the Dagbon, Mamprugu and Yagbon paramountcies.

He paid courtesy calls on the Regent of Dagbon, the Abudus Regent, the overlord of Gonjaland, the Gulkpegu-Naa, the Tamale chief (Dakpema), Buglana, Sagnarigu-Naa, the Tamale Zongo chief and the overlord of Mamprugu land.

He also interacted with leadership of all the Muslim sects in Tamale and called for their incessant spiritual support.

The visit offered him the opportunity to thank the electorate for overwhelmingly voting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power.

Wherever he went, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia’s topmost message was peaceful co-existence.

He pleaded with the chiefs and people of the north to keep faith in President Nana Akufo Addo’s administration to deliver good governance.

He highlighted water, education, health, agriculture, road infrastructure, youth employment as some of the thematic sectors government will concentrate on.

Dr. Alhaji Bawumia maintained that the aforementioned could be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and unity.

The chiefs pledged their unflinching support to President Nana Addo to accomplish his campaign promises.

Some Ministers and Deputies, Members of Parliament from the Northern Region, MMDCEs and party leadership across board accompanied the Vice President during his visit.
