Archbishop Desmond Tutu attends Daughter’s Same Sex Wedding

Mpho Tutu, the daughter of former South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, tied the knot with Marceline van Furth in the Netherlands.

The couple married in a private ceremony held in Oegstgeest in the Netherlands.

Mpho Tutu is an ordained Episcopal priest and is currently the executive director of the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation while Marceline van Furth is a professor in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Vrije University in Amsterdam and holds the Desmond Tutu Chair in Medicine at the university.

Tutu is the youngest daughter of Archbishop Desmond and his wife Leah Tutu. She was previously married and has two daughters.

The couple plan on hosting another ceremony in Cape Town this year.
