Alleged murderer of Abuakwa North MP transferred to kotobabi Police station

The alleged murderer of the former MP for Abuakua North, Daniel Asiedu has been transferred to the Kotobabi Police Station from Legon where he was on remand awaiting trial. According to Daniel, he was being threatened by a Nigerian.

He told an Accra District Court that he reported the matter to the CID and he was subsequently sent to Kotobabi Police Station.
This was after the Court presided by Steven Owusu enquired from the accused how he was faring in custody.

Mr. Owusu said he is yet to confer with lawyer for the accused Augustine Obour to see if Daniel could be sent to a safer place.

The prosecution told the court that they are still awaiting the docket from the AG’s department.

The case has been adjourned to the 19th of this month.
