Akufo-Addo’s family member leads sale of Ghana’s Airport

A family member of the president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been captured as the main brain leading the sale of Kotoka International Airport.

Workers Union of the Ghana Airport Company Limited have demonstrated to show their displeasure over government plan to privatize the company.
The workers claim government, through the Aviation Ministry intends to hand over the Terminal 3,2, and 1 to a Turkish consultium for 50 years and they cannot allow that to happen.
According to the General Secretary of the Union, Mr. Bernard Agyei, the goverment has began negotiations since June 2,2020. The $300M contract is manage and raise the standard of the airport to become one of the best in Africa.
In front of the company, the angry workers threw out insults to government government officials for the above claim. The most worrisome is the curses, some of the workers invoked on the government.

In recent times, curses are becoming one of the tools people use to show dissatisfaction. Is it that the hope in our judicial service in reducing? In an ideal situations, the court should be the place people go for justice or for redress. But of late, it looks as if people want to go back to the olden days where they use curses to seek redress.
The question is, do these curses invoked on public officials work? Well, this is Africa and eveeything is possible.

It’s not clear the reasons by the government to privatize the Airport, but i think there should be proper consultation with stake holders for peace to prevail. 50 years is too long a time for a foreign investor to manage our airport. Aebnews will bring you every bit of this story as they unfold.
