Akufo-Addo’s basic Political Mistake Is his trust in Freddy Blay- Professor Yankah

A US based private legal practitioner and an independent political analyst who is an occasional panelist on most listened Political programs in the United States , and a long time friend of Nana Akufo-Addo, Prof Kofi Asiedu Yankah has questioned why Akufo-Addo easily trusted Freddy Blay who was rejected from CPP in 2012 , with a Vice chairmanship position in the New Patriotic Party , less than two (2) years from his sack from the CPP. Professor Yankah has advised that, blaming the New Patriotic Party’s opportunistic and buyable acting Chairman Freddy Blay over the protracted troubles in the NPP and his incessant leakage of informations particularly, the NPP’S manifesto to the party’s opponent -NDC, is not enough to call Freddy Blay to order but a prescription of disciplinary actions be taken against him.

Professor Yankah has explained how Freddy Bay and his wife were rewarded by the NDC over their successful role in the illegal suspension of the NPP’s National Chairman Paul Afoko, General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and a host of party executives, which has brought the NPP into disarray.

Freddy Blay who was sacked from the CPP for his inherent acts of betrayal and a brewer of troubles against the CPP has been accused  by available  evidence as the hatchet man and a mercenary for the intractable troubles that is bedeviling the NPP. Recently, news sources has reported the recent scandal that has hit the NPP- leakage of the party’s “Blue Book” manifesto to its rival political party by Freddy Blay and the party’s communications director Nana Akomea.

Speaking exclusively  to our reporter , Professor Asiedu Yankah  questioned the alien reasoning behind Akufo-Addo, trusting a CPP reject in Freddy Blay than a dyed in the wool of the NPP Chairman  Paul Afoko,  Kwabena Agyepong, and Sammy Crabbe “it is unfathomable to see Nana Akufo-Addo selling out the NPP to Freddy Blay who the CPP celebrated over his sack just recently in 2012. When Nana Addo came overhere in US last week, I had the opportunity to meet him at his private base and,  I asked him of what inspired him to commit such a gross blunder and he was usually quite perhaps in a show of regret . I made Akufo-Addo understand that, Freddy Blay as i have known him is a dubious and a dishonest character who will always go in for the highest bidder. Look at the Afenyo Markins- ADB Bank tape saga , how crude and mean is Freddy Blay to record and sell out his fellow party member who is a member of parliament to the NDC? One thing I am happy to tell you is, I awakened Nana Akufo-Addo to recount how Freddy Blay started troubling the CPP , and contrast it with this very similar version currently happening in the NPP. I advise Nana to take a retreat and eat the humble pie if he still wants to remain relevant in the political scene as i said to him, it may be late but , better than Never. I painstakingly reminded Akufo-Addo because he is been my long time and a trusted ally; if he realizes that, Freddy Blay’s wife , Madam Gina Blay was rewarded by NDC and President Mahama as she was appointed to serve on the National Media Commission on November 2015 immediately after Freddy Blay succeeded in using his Newspaper to frustrate the administration of the party’s National Chairman Paul Afoko consistently for about three (3) years resulting in the illegal suspension of Chairman Afoko in October 2015,  which has now left the party fractured beyond attraction? Akufo-Addo and his advisers thought it was an expedient venture for them so they kept a blind, dumb and deaf posture until Freddy Blay completed messing the party up. Few weeks later after his wife has been rewarded by the NDC and President Mahama for perhaps,  playing a successful conduit in the suspension of Chairman Paul Afoko and the destruction of the NPP, Freddy Blay was awarded with a million Ghana cedi contract to promote the NDC in his own Daily Guide Newspaper and he hastily accepted it . I must admit, Freddy Blay is doing a fantastic job for the NDC as he keeps selling the message in their green book to disillusioned NPP members for them to see Mahama and NDC as an alternative via his own Daily Guide Newspaper. You got me?”

“I further asked Akufo-Addo the reason why Freddy Blay, a so called acting Chairman has rather sanctioned his Daily Guide Newspaper to promote the lies and fictional images in the much fancied green book of the party’s main Opponent, President John Mahama led NDC instead of He,Akufo-Addo? What will inform no less a person than an acting Chairman of a party (NPP) to accept a contract and promote his rival party (NDC) in his Newspaper at the expense of his own party (NPP) in an election Year? Does it mean Freddy Blay has no confidence in his own candidate Nana Akufo-Addo ? Don’t you agree with me that Freddy Blay promoting President Mahama instead of his party’s flagbearer Akufo-Addo, only means that Freddy Blay trust President Mahama over Nana Akufo-Addo? When I raised this issue to Nana Akufo-Addo,  some persons around Nana Addo claimed Freddy Blay was only doing business. And I asked, Business?  I told them that, if its about business , then every NPP member is now qualified morally to take contract from the NDC and promote President Mahama after all, All Business Be Business. And the acting Chairman has won a contract and is already promoting President Mahama” Prof Yankah , added.

Prof Yankah continued by positing that “There is no gain in saying that, Freddy Blay’s owned Daily Guide Newspaper has done worst than good to the NPP. Why I am saying this is because,  an independent and a careful gleaning of peacefmonline.com reveals that, most of the bad stories related to NPP were plucked from Freddy Blay’s owned Daily Guide Newspaper.  Indeed, the paper made enough cash in selling those bad stories about the party. What scares me most is that, the Daily Guide Newspaper is fully owned by the party’s first vice chairman and now acting Chairman Freddy Blay, sounds so incredible  to you? Let me remind you about the enclosed meeting that took decision on whether to hold an early Presidential Primaries or not. How participants of that closed meeting voted was published blatantly on freddy blay’s owned Daily Guide Newspaper! Such unethical betrayal  by no less a person than Freddy Blay who is the party’s First Vice Chairman  and Akufo-Addo’s reliable friend?”

“I listened with incredulity how a poorly organised meeting convened and chaired by Freddy Blay was carried live on NDC’s Radio Gold 90.5 fm. And before this meeting which was on one Monday, the National Chairman Paul Afoko who was out of town was expected back to base on that very day according to the General Secretary whereas the General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong was coming from Kumasi after his hit “I am going to get some Fufu and eat” hence, Agyepong’s advice that ,the meeting be hold the next morning which was Tuesday but rather , it fell on deaf ears. And because the only qualification for a sycophant to hug sympathy from the gullible ventriloquist of Akufo-Addo in the party  was to “Hide Behind The Name of the flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo” to hypocritically label independent minded persons as “So So and so don’t want Nana to be President, You hate Nana Addo, You are agenda 2020, etc) ; the intransigent Freddy Blay who had his own expired poison and thought he was qualified to get support from these gullible fanatics, heeded not to the advice but went ahead to convene that meeting and served it with his expired poison because in his own words ‘Nana Akufo-Addo asked me to convene the meeting’. Indeed, that meeting convened and chaired by Freddy Blay was carried live on Radio Gold. Now , an investigative committee set by the party’s 2016 flagbearer has revealed how Freddy Blay sold out contents of the party’s most desired “Blue Book” manifesto to the NDC, and reports indicates that Nana Akufo-Addo has rejected that manifesto and called it- SHODDY WORK?” professor  Yankah queried

Professor in his concluding remarks counseled that, “the animal farm culture been practised by structures of the party and the party’s 2016 flagbearer does not augur well for the future of the party at all. Because the only requirement for one to misbehave in the party and go Scot free or be treated with Kid gloves is for such persons to ‘hide behind Akufo-Addo or his name’ .

In that light, dubious and unscrupulous deviants known as such , misbehave without restraint for they know they were not going to be made to face the music. The party’s Disciplinary committee is proven to be a pack of unfair minded and venal persons. What has stopped or is stopping them from suspending Freddy Blay for these series of proven allegations? The party and Nana Akufo-Addo,  if it wants to be seen as credible enough, then it should suspend or recommend sanctions against Freddy Blay over these proven allegations against him. This is a test for the party’s Presidential Candidate and the Disciplinarycommittee; if they have illegally  sacked the party’s National Chairman Paul Afoko, General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong, Second Vice Chairman Sammy Crabbe over unproven allegations, conspiracy theories, and for having a mind of their own, how much less a proven deviant, proven conspirator, a morally bankrupt swindler, and a corrupt actor like Blay?” Professor Yankah  questioned

He ended by passing these words “I have told Nana Akufo-Addo that, if indeed he wants to be President, then he should take a second look at his recent self and that of Freddy Blay”
