The Elections Director of the strongest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has alleged that the NDC have picked confidential information that president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the ruling NPP are training over 10,000 stoutly built men known locally as ‘macho men’ for them to distract the 2020 elections.
Speaking on Power 97.9 FM and GhanaPoliticsonline.com with Mugabe Maase on the political talk show ‘Inside Politics’, he said that the impunity going on under NPP and president Akufo-Addo is life threatening so Ghanaians must rise up and show concern.
He praised the Ghana Police Service and the military for the Good job they are doing and advised the bad ones among them that they will account for their deeds at the right time.
“Majority of Ghana Police and Military are correct, but those that are taking advantage and misbehaving should be careful because there is enough evidence to prosecute them at the right time.”
Hon Elvis Afriyie Ankrah cautioned that the Military and Police elements that are misbehaving will not only account for it locally but also internationally.
He added that Akufo-Addo’s legacy is violence and that he has benefited a lot from violence to the extent that he does not want to put a stop to it.
