Akufo Addo jets to Ashanti Region over Election

Information picked up by (Ghanapoliticsonline.com)Expressnewsghana indicated President Akufo Addo has jets to Ashanti Region for unknown reason.

According to sources, the election results from Ashanti region is discouraging to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) .

The Results from the region, the NPP has lost two parliamentary seats to the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) and one Independent candidate. Keep reading Ghanapoliticsonline.com

The Ashanti region is the Strongholed of the NPP but the part poorly performed in this 2020 general elections as compared to the previous elections.

Since the lift of Coronavirus restriction on political activities, President Akufo Addo has been to the region on more than five occasion to convince electorates.

Though strongholed of the party, the people of the region vowed to teach the NPP a lesson for neglecting the region with development and also using the Akyeam Mafia to collapse business enterprise.

It is believed the President is going to inform the Asantehene of his intention to either contest the elections in court as the NDC appeared leading in both Parliamentary and Presidential elections.

Ghanaians went to the polls on Monday ,December 7, to elect a new a preaident and 275 parliamentarians.

The President election is tight fight between Nana Akufo Addo and John Mahama , his longtime opponent.

Other ten presidential candidates are in the race but they have since show no significant third force, except a Christian Evangelist who entered the race for the first time has since proven worthy.

The country has been engulfed with weak economy and corruptions since the Akufo Addo led government took over office.

The President himself has been fingered in many alleged corruption scandals and was recently captured in a video allegedly receiving a $40000 bribe from a Civil servant wife to stop the government removing her husband from office on political grounds.

The former Special prosector, Martin Amidu, a self-styled corruption crusader has recently also accused the President of interfering in corruption investigation against his cousin, Ken Ofori Atta, the Minister for Finance.

The Finance and other inner cycle party members and family members in the Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal scandal which has caught the eyes of international community.
