The country is a state of shock after a video was circulated on social media where a police officer was dangerously assaulting a nursing mother, who is identified as a customer of the bank, Midland Savings and Loans in Accra.
According to information being reported, the assaulted nursing mother had been going to the bank to withdraw her savings for about a week now… But the bank refused to give her the savings she has made with the bank.
This angered the customer, the nursing mother, who decided she was not leaving the banking hall until her money is giving to her.
The police officer who was at duty was called to drag the agitated customer out of the banking hall which resulted in the assault on her.
For the look at things, the bank is in financial crisis and not able to pay it customers their withdrawals.
This situation of banks in financial crisis is now a national security issue which needs immediate remedy.
With Dr Mahmudu Bawumia, a former deputy governor of Bank of Ghana and the head of economic management team of the current government, little did Ghanaians expected that, local banks will be in financial crisis with almost all the local banks folding out of business.
Something really need to be done to the save the citizens and the financial sector.
