Akufo-Addo asks NPP NEC to reinstate Afoko, Agyepong & Crabbe

The three suspended national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are expected to be reinstated very soon, it has been revealed.

The three, National Chairman, Paul Afoko; General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong; and Second National Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe were suspended last year after some members of the NPP filed petitions with the party’s disciplinary committee.

After investigations, National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party found them guilty misdemeanor.

But according to former NPP General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow, President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has served a notice to the party’s National Council to have the three reinstated.

“We have had our very first joint National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meeting and he [Akufo-Addo] emphasised that that matter is presently going to be handled,” he said

Speaking on Joy News on Monday, Mr Ntow who had openly criticised the suspension of the three said he was happy the President-elect has shown the preparedness to end the infighting.

“He has given an indication that NEC and National Council has taken a cue and will deal with the matter sooner or later,” he said.
