It has emerged that, the Executive Secretary to President Nana Akufo-Addo through the president, was the one who lodged the complaint for the arrest of National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi.
According to reports, Nana Asante Bediatuo lodged a criminal complaint against Mr Gyamfi, hence the arrest.
The NDC man was arrested by men from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service shortly after his discussion on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma show Monday, January 27, 2020.
Mr Gyamfi is currently at the CID headquarters assisting with investigations while some party faithful have thronged the place to show solidarity.
The NDC National Communications Officer is already under investigations after being accused of forgery and publication of false information targeted at tarnishing the image of the Akufo-Addo government.
