A/R: NDC clears 85 to contest 30 seats as 6 go unopposed

After three days of vetting of parliamentary aspirants on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party has cleared some 85 aspirants to contest in the party parliamentary primary slated for May 31, 2023.

 

The candidates were made up of 71 males representing 83% and 14 females representing 16%.

The clearance to contest was given in a statement signed by Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the party, dated April 6, 2023.

The statement gave the names of the following comrades as aspirants who have been cleared by the vetting committee to contest for Parliamentary candidate positions in their respective constituencies.
