The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including National Organizer Joseph Yamin, Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande, and Captain (rtd.) Jabari, have uncovered over 10,000 bags of fertilizer hidden in a house in Sokoban, located in the Ashanti Region.
The discovery was announced in a Facebook post by Mustapha Gbande, who disclosed that the property housing the fertilizers remains unclaimed. He indicated that a thorough investigation had led to the find, and efforts are underway to identify and expose the owner.
The post read: “We have just uncovered over 10,000 bags of fertilizer in Sokoban, Ashanti Region, in a house whose owner is yet to be identified after close intelligence. Myself, the National Organizer, and Capt. (rtd.) Jabari are currently here with our team. I have never witnessed such political wickedness under the current NPP government.”
The revelation has sparked public concern, as suspicions grow that this may be part of a broader pattern of looting allegedly linked to the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. Since John Dramani Mahama was declared President-Elect, there have been reports of questionable activities, with many attributing them to elements within the NPP administration attempting to siphon resources before leaving office.
The NDC leadership has vowed to ensure that the owner of the property is brought to justice, reiterating their commitment to safeguarding public resources during the transition period.
