70% of Ghanaians are worse than the leaders they blame – Suge Knight On Fix The Country

Following a pro-western region post UK Suge Knight made in the Tadi We Dey group on Facebook which the group members paid less attention to, then a concerned member dropped a positive comment urging the group to support such a good cause post, UK Suge Knight took to his media contacts to complain bitterly about how bad he feels when Ghanaians turn a blind eye to development posts on social media while public involvement is crucial to development initiatives.

That one member comment admonishing the Tadi We Dey group members stemmed from Knight’s widely recognized efforts to put the western region on a national and global pedestal —- as he has over the years been playing plausible talent management roles to western region upcoming artistes, movie stars, sports men and other talented people in his quest to make a full scale development impact on western region.

In Knight’s complaints to his affiliate media men, he stated that great initiatives made by Ghanaian individuals die out, fail woefully or suffer retarded progress because a majority of Ghanaians don’t make complimentary contributions to private initiatives that are meant to create greater good results. He cited the pathetic situation about how Ghanaians make a loud outcry for a change, yet when an individual of a good social status is making moves to create a great change, the very people the initiative will help only look on and act unsupportive.

Knight further cited the people of western region’s indifference towards initiatives that can facelift the image of the region. He made mention of how promising talents in the region are left to struggle or fail miserably when they need support to help them flourish.

Knight suggested the affluent in the region make it a top priority to assist struggling and failing talents. He said if they jointly fund mini developmental projects, their partnerships will go a long way to uplift the social image of western region.

As the CEO of Ghana Western Achievement and Excellence Awards, UK Suge Knight has had his share of disappointment trying to get corporate sponsorships. This, another turn that had him funding his award scheme single-handedly until the third edition last year December when he had a short slew of a few sponsorships from the award scheme’s board of directors, individuals and corporate bodies.

In Knight’s observation, he stated that western region can have artistes of the calibre of WizKid, Davido, Burna Boy, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and other celebrities of great national and global prominence if the region massively rallies behind its talents with diverse forms of support.

To Suge Knight, Ghanaians don’t give their top music celebrities due support. He said should Ghanaians support their top music celebrities massively, Ghana will can compete with Nigeria in the global music market.

It also worries Knight so much that Ghana relatively has a high foreign music consumption rate, giving very little focus on local music. He urges Ghanaians to patronize local music.

Kumawood can grow big like Nollywood when Ghanaian business men invest in Kumawood projects and give local movie industry a massive promotion traditionally and digitally. Knight said.

Making a national concern, Knight feels seriously bad how Ghanaian traders take advantage of the economic system when they use inflation as an excuse to charge arbitrary fees on goods. In instances where the police takes bribes and let culprit passes on freely, Knight concludes that that leads to high offence rate, as bribing is a conduit for criminals to buy justice or freedom from legal punishment.

UK Suge Knight is a British-Ghanaian media mogul living in London. He is a plain cloth detective and a criminologist. Knight uses his LondonHills Production as a media force to promote talents in the western region. He has executive-produced movies and music projects which are star-stud with western region movie popular and upcoming movie stars and artistes.

He also uses his annual Ghana Western Achievement and Excellence Awards to honour excelling personalities and institutions that are based in or affiliated to the western region of Ghana.
