2nd Breast Cancer Awareness Walk To Commence On 17th October 2015

As part of social aid efforts to help prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate breast cancer, Springs of Joy International on 17^th October, 2015, will once again organize and host its second breast cancer awareness walk with the theme: “Let’s fight breast cancer together”.

The walk is scheduled to start at 6am from the La Bawaleshie School Park, through some major streets in East Legon and back to the park. The walk will be led by the General Overseer of the Church, Dr. Prophet Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh, the Deputy General Overseer, Mrs. Rosemond Prempeh and Mr Emmanuel Kyermanteng Agyarko Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wagon.This event is expected to attract over 200 people from and beyond the East Legon community. We hope to raise a mutual fund of Ghs 20,000 to support patients undergoing treatment of the disease.

There will also be free breast screening for participants, all in a bid to reduce the effects of its stigma through education on its symptoms and treatment.
