Tamale South Member of Parliament Harruna Iddrisu who has been re-elected in the 2024 general election, has expressed his interest in pursuing a presidential ambition. Speaking on TV3 on Friday, December 13, Iddrisu stated, “My eye is on the ball but I don’t know about tomorrow.”
Earlier, the former Minority Leader commented on the economic challenges faced by President-elect John Dramani Mahama. Iddrisu acknowledged that Mahama has inherited an economy with severe difficulties but expressed confidence in Mahama’s ability to overcome these challenges.
Speaking to journalists in Accra on Monday, December 9, Iddrisu emphasized the importance of not taking the people for granted. He said, “We cannot take the people for granted, Ghanaians say ‘If you fail us we will you tomorrow’.”
Iddrisu’s remarks come at a time when Ghana is grappling with significant economic issues, including inflation and currency depreciation. President-elect Mahama has pledged to prioritize fixing the country’s economy once he assumes office, focusing on stabilizing the currency and reducing inflation
