A former Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako-Sekyere has been invited by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for attending the 10th Anniversary event of the death of late President Mills organized by the Atta Mills Institute.
Mr Boasiako-Sekyere at the event which was also graced by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo laid a wreath on behalf of the NDC which had earlier in a release announced that they were boycotting the event.
This action, the FEC in a letter signed by the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said does not sit well with the leadership of the NDC hence the letter summoning him to meet with the NDC and explain his actions,
“Your decision to participate in the event and to lay a wreath on behalf of the party clearly contravened FEC’s directive and FEC needs an explanation for your action…,” the letter read in part.
The meeting will be held on 16th August, 2022 at the party’s headquarters in Adabraka.
