The New Patriotic Party’s losing Parliamentary aspirant for Klottey Korley, Nii Noi Nortey, who has declared his intention to contest the November 7 elections as an independent candidate. has accused the leadership of the party of lacking managerial skills.
Speaking at a news conference in Accra Wednesday, Nii Noi Nortey announced that after careful consideration, he has finally arrived at a decision to vie for the parliamentary slot, but not on the ticket of the NPP.
According to him, the rancor that has afflicted the party in the constituency could have been avoided if the leaders had resorted to proper management skills.

Nii Noi Nortey’s contender, Philip Addison emerged winner after a re-run of the primary, beating him by a slim margin.
He said it has gotten to this because the masses, the youth, and the voiceless are calling on him to stand as an independent candidate.
He also accused the party of scheming against him.
Meanwhile, campaign posters indicating that Mr Nortey will be contesting as an independent candidate in the November 7 election popped up in the constituency ahead of the news conference.
