Hon Abigail Elorm Mensah Donates To Widows/Orphans In Her Constituency

Parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress in the Fanteakwa South Constituency, Abigail Elorm Mensah, on 3rd January 2015 , partied and made donations to widows and orphans in Fanteakwa South Constituency.

The ever humane MP who themed the occasion ‘Hope Party’ put together through the collaboration of Legacy Foundation and Youngsters Development Initiative Ghana, made it known to GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com that the ‘Hope Party’ is aimed at supporting and bringing smiles to the faces of widows and orphans every year.

“In collaboration with the two NGOs we distributed half piece of clothes and scarfs to the old ladies and widows. We also gave exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers, math sets, and other study aids to the orphans – – believing that the best we can give to anyone is education. “Once the person gets help to aid his or her education, its an investment worth any pain”She said.

Since some widows find it difficult in making ends meet, her foundation and the various NGOs which supported her will make themselves available so they can provide the beneficiaries with equal support (which they used to get from their husbands) – she promised.

She used the opportunity to admonish other MPs and would-become MPs to also engage themselves in such benevolent activities because putting smiles on the faces of the poor and deprived must be a shared responsibility and not a sole-reserved-responsibility of a selected few in the society.
