World Bank to inject $1.2 billion into Ghana’s economy

The World Bank will be injecting one point two billion dollars into the Ghanaian economy for the next three years.

The Bank will also extend additional 500 million dollar through its private sector wing.

Its Vice President Makkhtar Diop announced this at a news conference in Accra.

He said the World Bank will continue to Partner government in achieving its economic objectives.

Mr. Diop said the World will help government to put in place mechanism to sustain fiscal deficits and was pleased with government efforts to establish a fiscal council to check slippages.
