We won’t give Nduom attention –Dr. Edward Omane Boamah

Communications minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has said the Mahama-campaign will not give undeserving attention to the founder of the Progressive Peoples Party Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.

According to him, the business appears to be seeking some attention from the government by needlessly attacking the President and his performance.

The former minister under the erstwhile kufuor administration has been one of the fiercest critics of the Mahama-led government. He has often taken to social media to lambast policies of the President. In his latest post, he criticised Mr. Mahama for wasting tax payers money on his ‘Accounting to the people tour’

Responding to the claims, the acting Presidential spokesperson stated on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji Saturday that the President will not be distracted by the effusions of Dr. Nduom.

“I have decided not to respond to him (Nduom). He is not going to benefit from attention. If he wants to campaign, let him curve out his own campaign and not to piggyback on the popularity of President Mahama. Mahama has not started his campaign. From what I gather from our party leaders, our campaign will start somewhere in June. Mahama will continue to deliver on the mandate that Ghanaians bestowed on him,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the President ended his three-day ‘Accounting to the People Tour’ in the Eastern region on Thursday at the Affram Plains North district after commissioning a ferry and water taxi to replace the 10 year-old damaged ferry.

The president visited districts including, Lower Manya Krobo, Asuogyaman ,Abirem, Akyem Ofoase, Abetifi ,Affram Plains North and South.
