I Will Work Hard To Sustain The Peace Of This Nation- President John Dramani Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has restated his commitment in ensuring a peaceful election which will once again consolidate Ghana’s credentials as the most stable democracy in Africa. The President said he will continue to work hard to sustain and enhance the peace and security and peace co-existence of citizens and the chieftaincy institution before, during and after the 2016 general elections.

He gave the assurance when he joined the overlord of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu II and Asanteman to celebrate Akwasidae and the 17th Anniversary after his [Asantehene’s] enstoolment. President Mahama said, government is committed to protecting and preserving the sacred institution of chieftaincy which shall neither create nor counter nice the creation of fertile ground for the dissipation of power of any chief or king.

The security agency he noted will continue to carry out their duties professionally to ensure the peace and security of Ghana. ‘’I pledge to do all within my power to ensure a peaceful elections which will once again consolidate Ghana’s credentials as the most stable democracy in Africa.’’ President Mahama added his government is doing all it could to help develop Asanteman.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com

According to him, government has invested significantly in the road and transport sectors hence providing options for linkages with other adjoining regions and other parts of the country. President Mahama posited that, the various infrastructural projects undertaken by government is helping Asanteman and Kumasi reclaim its former glory as the garden city of West Africa.

President Mahama congratulated the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II for the successes and challenges he has surmounted as king over the last seventeen years.
