General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Asiedu Nketia, has revealed his plans to travel outside the country has been thwarted due to the change of government.
He disclosed on UTV’s Morning Show “Adekye Nsroma” on February 03, 2017 that he had plans to travel in January but couldn’t because he would have been accused of running away.

“I wanted to go last month {January} but of the transitional issues I had to put it on hold.” Asiedu Nketiah said laughing. “If I go they will say I have run away”
The NPP government is in the process of putting together a team to govern the country after winning the 2016 elections.

Such periods in Ghana’s transitional history are characterised by car seizures and a threat of jail on past government’s calls.
