VIDEO: NDC to begin door to door unionization of party members

The leadership of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] will from October 18 start visiting the branch and constituency levels of the party to interact with members.

Chairman Kofi Portuphy says the step has been approved by the National Executive Committee [NEC] as a way to help the grassroot understand the measures being put in place to build a formidable front to secure electoral victory in 2012.

The Kwesi Botchway committee set up to investigate the party’s electoral defeat in 2016 among other things asked the party to reunite the party’s grassroots and embark on a unity tour.

Speaking at a news conference at the party’s headquarters in Accra, Kofi Portuphy said scraping the old register has been approved by NEC and the party will return to the manual system of registering members.

He appealed to members to comply with the new system of registration.
