Video: Mahama arrives for NDC campaign launch

President John Mahama has arrived at the Cape Coast Sports stadium where thousands of NDC supporters have converged for the party’s campaign launch for the 2016 elections.

The president arrived with his wife, First Lady Lordina Mahama.

The first couple were met with thunderous cheers from the enthusiastic supporters amidst singing and dancing from the stands of the newly constructed stadium.

He comes minutes after the arrival of former President Jerry Rawlings and Vice President Amissah-Arthur who also arrived in the company of his wife, Matilda.

Miniature flags of the ruling party are all over electric poles on all major streets in Cape Coast.

The theme of the launch is “Changing Lives, Transforming Ghana”, and it is likely to be attended by thousands of party members and sympathizers.

The event will also be used to outdoor the President and his Vice as the NDC’s ticket for the December 7 polls.
