Veep Amissah-Arthur Presents Bus To Ntronso College Of Nursing

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has presented a 52 seater brand new Mercedes Benz bus to the Ntotroso College of Nursing at Ntotroso in the Asutifi North of the Brong Ahafo Region.

He said government will work closely with the traditional authorities in order to bring development to the people.

They should therefore support government in its development agenda for the country.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur said government considers education as a very important priority and it will continue invest substantially in the sector as a way of securing the future of the country’s youth.

Radio Ghana’s Seth Eyiah who is on the veep’s entourage, reports that, the Ntotroso College of Nursing was established three years ago as a collaboration between the Ntotroso Traditional Council and Newmont Ahafo Development Foundation, NADEF.

It currently has a student population of 820 with more than 500 coming from the Asutifi North district. The presentation of the bus was a fulfilment of a request the Ntotrosohene, Barimah Twereku Ampem made to the Vice President when he visited the area not long ago.

Mr Amissah-Arthur reiterated the importance of education and the resolve by government to continuously focus attention and resources to the sector to generate the needed human resource for the progress of the country.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the Mahama administration has good policies and programmes for the overall development of the country.

The people and the traditional authorities must therefore, support the President to continue with the implementation of these policies and programs.

He said continuity in government will enable President Mahama to complete the projects and programmes he has rolled out and begin new ones for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

Ntotrosohene, Barimah Twereku Ampem thanked the NDC government for providing the Asutifi North with not only its fair share of development but also the critical needs of the people thereby improving their living condition.

He mentioned roads, education and health facilities, teaching and learning materials and the provision of the bus, which has been one of his biggest challenge.

He hoped that the good people of Ghana will renew the NDC’s mandate and give President Mahama, a second term to enable him to fulfil his agenda of ChangingLives and TransformingGhana.

The traditional authority made a presentation to the Vice President including a ram.
