Veep Amissah-Arthur justifies massive infrastructural investment

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has justified government’s massive investments in infrastructure.

He said the investments are not just to boost economic activities but also ensure equity in development.

Addressing members of the Tertiary Education Institution Network, TEIN, at the Tamale Technical University, Vice President Amissah-Arthur said it is a known fact that some regions are well resourced than others and it is incumbent on government to bridge that gap as part of nation building.

Radio Ghana’s Seth Eyiah reports that the members of TEIN were drawn from the Tamale Nursing and Midwifery College, Tamale College of Education, Tamale Technical University, among others attended the interactive encounter with the Vice President.

It was the Vice President’s fourth in a series of interactive encounters with tertiary students.

He said the NDC as a social democratic party believes in the overall development of the country through equitable distribution of resources so that together the country can develop.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said government’s focus on education is in line with the party’s agenda of putting people first.

He said education is very important in the development of a country and everybody must be given access to quality education.

This he said government will continue to do.

The President of Tamale Technical University branch of TEIN, Abdul Fatau Issah assured of embarking on a vigorous campaign to retain President Mahama in government for another four years.
