Violent disturbances in the Nkonya Traditional area have led to the shooting to death of two residents and injury to another.
In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Ankobiahene of the Nkonya Traditional Area, Nana Ampem-Darko, said the attackers are yet to be identified.
He said witnesses of the incident told him that the shooting took place at a palm wine tapping joint in the town resulting in the shooting of the three persons.
Meanwhile, the Police Officer in charge of Nkonya, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Nusenu, has confirmed the shooting incident in which two people died with one injured.
Mr Nusenu told Radio Ghana that no arrest has been made yet but the Police are patrolling the town to ensure law and order.
He said Nkonya is currently calm.
