THREE MINORITY MPs TO PETITION SPEAKER OF GHANA’S PARLIAMENT OVER ATTEMPTED BRIBERY

Three (3) NDC MPs will today request the Rt. Hon. Speaker to commission an internal parliamentary enquiry into the attempt by a Ministerial Nominee to bribe some members of the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.

The three are Mahama Ayariga (MP), Bawku Central Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), North Tongu Constituency and Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini (MP), Tamale North Constituency.

It will be recalled that Mahama Ayariga made an allegation against the nominated minister of Energy, Mr. Agyarko claiming he attempted bribing the minority members on the vetting committee under the disguise of sitting allowance but the minority members returned the money after they were hinted that it was from Mr. Agyarko and their investigations confirmed it.

Stay tuned for more unfolding events with regards to this allegation.
