There’s a bloody wife-beater, bloody corrupt MP among the minority – Ras Muburak’s ex-wife

Feminist and ex-wife of National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker for Kumbungu constituency, Ras Mubarak has launched a suggestive attack at the minority in parliament over last Tuesday’s conduct on the floor of parliament.

The ‘free-your mind’ media practitioner who appears angry over the description of the widow of Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko as a ‘bloody widow’ during her swearing-in on Tuesday, February 6, 2019, disclosed that there is also a ‘bloody thief’ among the minority lawmakers.

Rasheeda Adams in a post on her Facebook page sighted by MyNewsGh.com wrote “Somewhere among the minority in parliament there’s A Bloody thief MP, A bloody wife-beater MP, A bloody corrupt MP, A bloody incompetent MP. Shall we hold placards for you all?”

She did not mention specifically who that thief cum wife beater could be but asked if Ghanaians should also hold placards for such a person in equalization of what was done by the minority on Tuesday.

“We will walk out every time the MP for Ayawaso W.W gets up to speak in parliament. Me: Hon. Lydia Alhassan, please don’t fall my hand. Get up and speak every day, even if you have nothing to say”, she quizzed.

Lydia Alhassan contested and won her late husband, Emmanuel Agyarko’s seat and was sworn into office Tuesday February 5, 2019 in parliament to continue and complete the second half of the late MP’s term

However, following some disturbances at La Bawaleshie, one of the over 130 polling centres, the NDC vowed not recognise the new MP and staged a walk out.

As she was being sworn into office, the NDC MPs stormed out of the chamber hurling placards of a very unsavory and insensitive phrase “Bloody Widow”.

Ghanaians especially gender activists have descended on them by naming and shaming lawmakers from the minority side who were wielding the abusive placards.
