The EC is also to furnish the court in writing, steps it has put in place to comply with the court’s orders to clean the voters register to comply with the constitution.

The court gave the EC up to June 29 to comply with its orders.

The five-member panel of Judges chaired by the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood, said the orders given are in pursuant to Article Two of the Constitution.

The Supreme Court gave the orders in respect of an application filed by a former National Youth Organiser of the PNC, Abu Ramadan, in May seeking clarification and further directions on the court’s judgement on his suit, challenging the credibility of the current voters register.
