Support Fifi Kwetey – Dzifa Attivor

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South, Fifi Fiavi Franklin Kwetey, has officially resume responsibility as the new Minister of Transport with a call from the ex-Minister, to be supported by the same team that made it possible for the government to achieve a lot in a relatively short time.

At a short, but impressive ceremony at the Ministry’s conference room, Dzifa Aku Attivor, handed over the baton to the incoming Minister after expressing her appreciation to the team at the ministry for the support she enjoyed from them during her tenure.

His appointment, became necessary following, Mrs. Attivor’s voluntary resignation due to the public outcry over the use of Ghc3.6 million to re-brand 116 buses, belonging to the Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMT).

But her presence at the Ministry last Friday for the event, showed Mrs. Attivor, still enjoys an overwhelming support among the civil servants in the ministry as she was mobbed. People visibly showed happiness upon seeing her.

She later called on them to give the incoming minister the same support they gave her, resulting in the phenomenon progress achieved so far in the aviation sector, shipping, railway and many other sectors.

She tasked all to continue to render same service to enable the new Minister to continue with the good works.

Deputy Minister, Joyce Adeshetu Bawa Mogtari, thanked Mad Attivor for the sterling leadership she provided during her tenure.

She welcomed the news minister with a pledge to render the same commitment and dedication to duties assigned her.

For his part, Mr. Kwetey , who is the immediate Minister of Food and Agriculture, said he would work hard to achieve the transformational agenda of President John Dramani Mahama.
