Students of Gwiraman SHS complain about poor network infrastructure leading to inability to access the internet

The SHS students at the Gwiraman Senior High School in the Nzema East Municipal Assembly of the Western region are complaining about poor network coverage at their school.

The Gwiraman SHS was commissioned by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama on the 12th October 2015 as part of the 200 newly constructed Day SHS.

During the commission of the SHS which is located at Bamiako with 500 student population, ghanapoliticsonline.com, Government officials and others who came to witness found out that telecommunication network was bad.

Daniel Kaku, western regional correspondent for ghanapoliticsonline.com , has found out that the students of the school are complaining of the bad telecommunication network coverage which is affecting their studies.

Speaking to one student Martha Kanra, a first year General art student, she told ghanapoliticsonline.com that they are facing a big problem in terms of accessibility of network coverage.

“We have a computer lab but we cannot access the Internet for our research ” Kanra lamented.

Martha Kanra appealed to the Ministry of Communications and also the various telecommunication network companies to come to their aid.

Ghanapoliticsonline.com spoke to the Nzema East Municipal Chief Executive Hon James Baidoo on the issue and he revealed that the Assembly has officially complained to the Communication Ministry.

“We are working very hard to get the school and surrounding communities access to better telecommunication network so that they can have access to the Internet” Hon. Baidoo emphasized.

Information gathered by ghanapoliticsonline.com indicates that about twenty five communities do not have access to telecommunication network and that has brought about problems to the folks of the communities.
