The Storm Energy Drink, a product of Kasapreko Company Limited has partnered Silverbird Entertainment Ghana Limited to premiere the photorealistic remake of Disney’s 1994 movie ‘The Lion King’ in Ghana.
A statement from Silverbird Entertainment Ghana Limited copied to the Ghana News Agency said the movie would be shown at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on July 19 at 18:00 hours.
The movie features the voices of Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, as well as James Earl Jones, reprising his role from the original, the statement said.
The statement noted that the film was directed by Jon Favreau, who is also credited to have directed 2016’s “The Jungle Book” and a number of films in the marvel comic sequel.
The movie, it said, provided an opportunity for American singer, songwriter and actress, Beyonce, to launch an all-African music album featuring Ghanaian dancehall artist, Shatta Wale on the Album ‘The Gift’.
According to the statement, Mr Chris Addo-Sarkodie, the Marketing Manager of Kasapreko Company Limited, expressed the company’s excitement for the partnership to premiere the movie.
The movie is making great waves on the global market.
The statement called on all patrons to attend the premiere.
