Stop carrying yourself as president-elect – Mahama to Akufo-Addo

President John Mahama has admonished his main contender in the 2016 elections Nana Akufo-Addo to stop carrying himself as winner of the polls already.

According to Mr. Mahama, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer has been jumping over himself that he has already won the December polls.

Addressing a mini rally at Ayirebi in the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency of the Eastern region, Mahama reiterated God is the only one who ordains a leader.

“Power rests in the hands of God, He decides who becomes a leader. So when I see somebody (Nana Addo) carrying himself as an already elected President, I say if God says he won’t make you a President, you can move heaven and earth you will still not be President,” the NDC presidential candidate said.

President Mahama maintained his prayer ahead of the polls has always been “Let Thy Will Be Done”.

“As we speak, God has made up His mind already. He knows the winner of the elections already. As I always say, when I wake up in the morning, my prayer is let thy will be done. That’s the greatest prayer,” Mahama told the excited crowd.

The President also promised to build an ultra-modern hospital for the community if re-elected upon the request of the chiefs.

Mahama is on the final leg of his Eastern region tour which ends today.
