She said this on Friday, April 01, 2016 when she presented her letter of credence to President John Dramani Mahama at the Flagstaff House.

It would be recalled that the World Health Organization declared the African sub region as Ebola free, after the disease ravaged some countries in the sub region especially Sierra Leone which devastated lives and dwindled the country’s economy.

President Mahama is therefore urging the government of Sierra Leone to put the past behind them and focus on restructuring its economy.

The President also assured the government of Sierra Leone of Ghana’s support in its quest to rebuild its economy.

President Mahama further called for a permanent joint commission for Corporation which will seek to identify areas of cooperation and focus on them for mutual gains.

On her part, Chief Justice (rtd) Umu Hawa Tejan-Jalloh commended the President and the people of Ghana for standing by them during the difficult times of the Ebola epidemic.

She said with the WHO declaring the sub region as Ebola free coupled with the IMF projection of a GDP growth of 4.3%, she is convinced her country is on the path to recovery and great progress.

Also presenting his letter of credence was Cuba’s Pedro Luis Despaigne Gonzales.
