Shatta Wale Finally Confesses – “I Don’t Need The Awards”

Last week, Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, shocked many music fans when he vent his rage on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review after he and his management team revealed to the general public that their artiste is currently going through a rebranding process to sell his image.

The artiste, who spoke on why he was piqued on the program, said the host of the show, Kwesi Aboagye, had made it public that the he Shatta Wale, should not be nominated. “I love him. I love his personality and how he carries himself. But I think organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Award should turn him down.

“They shouldn’t give him nomination. I think in recent times he’s one of the generations that has been smart in terms of showbiz and I like him for that but on one principle – he’s not consistent” Kwasi Aboagye opined.

But the no-nonsense Shatta replied that when he wins the awards it wouldn’t give him a house and so he does not need it.

“Don’t say I want to be part of the awards, is my fans and is my fans who want me to be nominated! It’s my fans who are complaining that I should be part of it and you still say I should say me! I don’t need the award because even if I get the award I won’t use it to buy house” the SM4L boss put forward.
