Security Alert: Police warn motorists against criminals in parts of Accra

The Public is to take note of areas in the metropolis where petty thievery are reported to be on the increase.

According to a statement signed by the Regional Director of Public Affairs, ASP Efia Tenge, there had been periodic theft cases where commuters lose valuables including mobile phones, hand bags, tablets and laptops to these criminals.

The police have therefore advised motorists to roll up their car windows and also avoid displaying handy and flashy valuables while in traffic.

According to the Statement, the situation is gradually becoming alarming and some people are more prone to the activities of these miscreants because of their proximity to them.

The areas are Graphic road, N1 highway, Awudome cemetery road, Accra mall roundabout, La beach road on the Teshie-Nungua road, among others.
