SCANDAL AT NPP HQ…JOHN BOADU POCKETS GHC40,000.00 MEANT FOR POLLING AGENTS IN C/R….AS VICTIMS PLAN TO STAGE DEMO
It is on record and verifiable that the party foot- soldiers who participated in the just ended voter exhibition exercise in Central Region are still been owed various days of allowances amounting to over 400million old Ghana Cedis to date.
The weekly Guide has obtained a powerful petition by these foot-soldiers who claim the New Patriotic Party owes its men and women who have served in various capacities in the just ended exhibition exercise.
Our investigations established that the Party had then decided not to remunerate any participant of the voter exhibition exercise on grounds that the party is broke and that members should work voluntarily.
The Weekly Guide noted however that the Acting General Secretary John Boadu took advantage of the communication gap and turf war between himself (Acting General Secretary), Freddie Blay (Acting Chairman), Peter McManu (Campaign Manager), Abankwah Yeboah (Ecobank Treasurer) and Ken Ofori-Attah (Chairman of Fund Raising Committee) all of the 2016 Akufo Addo presidential campaign.
Weekly Guide’s investigations revealed that John Boadu clandestinely demanded funds from Ken Ofori Atta for the exhibition agents in the Central Region. It was further revealed that this fund’s never got to Central Region neither was it use for the purpose for which it was raised rather it was pocketed at the blind side of other national officers including the director of elections to the detriment of party. This is happening at a time the party is struggling to raise funds for its campaign activities.
The petition by the aggrieved members of the party warned that in view of the present economic situation in the country, the over 500 members being owed such a staggering amount could revolt “and this will not be good for the party.”
“It is obvious that lies and deceits have become a tradition among our party leaders,” a member told the weekly guide.
“They always devise ways to sweep matters that touch them under the carpets with cover ups. They milk the party dry and ask us to do the dirty job’.
As at press time, members of the New Patriotic Party in the Central Region who volunteered during the Voter Exhibition Exercise were lacing up and strategizing to embark on a mammoth demonstration against John Boadu the Acting General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
All our efforts to reach John Boadu for his side was unsuccessful as he kept telling our reporter that he should hold on with the story and meet him at a location for a discussion possibly to ‘ kill’ the story.
