Sammi Awuku Wanted By Police For Firing Gun Shots At NDC Communicator
National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Mr. Sammi Awuku, is being hunted by the Suhum police for allegedly pulling a gun and firing a warning shot at an NDC Communication Officer, Daniel Chanor, and some NDC executives who came to the aid of the communicator.
The incidence happened over the weekend. According to Kofi Wayo who spoke to Asempa FM, the two political parties were on the campaign train in the constituency when the alleged clash happened.
In a seperate interview with GhanaPoliticsonline.com, Kofi Wayo revealed that the NPP team which was led by Sammy Awuku, was said to have before the clash, met Daniel Chanor and threatened him to stay off Akorabo in the Suhum constituency.
It was on their second time of meeting Daniel Chanor and his party executives that Sammy Awuku pulled a gun and threatened to fire at them if they don’t stay off the area.
Kofi Wayo, who is the Youth Organizer of NDC, said an official complaint has been lodged at the Suhum police station and that once Sammy Awuku and his personal assistant are arrested, they shall be arraigned before court for threatening human lives. All attempts to get Sammy Awuku, for his side of the story on the issued proved futile.
