Runoff Election ‘Unofficial’ Result Shows George Manneh Weah In The Lead, As Police Warn Of Celebration Now

The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of Liberia’s soccer legend, Senator George Manneh Weah is said to be making the lead from an ‘unofficial’ results being announced by reporters from various media outlets assigned to those counties.

According to assigned reporters in those Counties around the country, quoting provisional results gathered from various polling places, the CDC presidential candidate, Senator Weah has received overwhelming votes from electorates while the ruling Unity Party (UP) presidential candidate, Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai number is gradually reading at a low pace.

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has disclosed that provisional results of today’s election will be released tomorrow at the headquarter of the Commission.

In another related development, the headquarters of the CDC has been a scene of celebration by supporters of the party based on information being aired on local radio stations that their political party’s presidential candidate, Senator George Weah is in the lead.

The Liberia National Police has earlier announced today that the NEC is the official body to release official result from the election, and further called on all Liberians to desist from any form that will cause any disturbances during the process.
