WE WILL RESIST THE REGISTRATION OF MINORS -Parliamentary Candidate, Atwima Nwabiagya North

07/05/16

OFFICE OF THE PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE,
ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH

PRESS RELEASE

WE WILL RESIST THE REGISTRATION OF MINORS

The office of the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Atwima Nwabiagya North has noted with deep concern some clandestine moves by the NPP member of Parliament to taint the otherwise peaceful limited registration exercise.

Hon Benito Owusu-Bio, having realised that defeat is staring him in the face, has resorted to the bussing of minors to polling stations to be registered in clear violation of the CI91.

One of such instances was witnessed today when a van with a PA system was spotted going round announcing and encouraging 16 and 17 year olds to show up at the Cocoa Shed polling station in Adakwame to be registered. As if this is not disgusting enough, 2 sprinter buses full of minors were led by Hon Benito Owusu-Bio to the same polling station to be registered.

But for the vigilance of our polling agents, Hon Benito would have succeeded in bloating the register in the said polling station. Based on this and other evidences, we believe same might be true for other polling stations in the constituency.

This release is therefore to serve as a warning and caution to Hon Benito and his cohorts that tomorrow 8th May being the last day, no such acts of criminality will be entertained within the constituency and we are on guard to vehemently protect the credibility of the electoral register by any means necessary.

As the saying goes, Last days are dangerous and this last day may be VERY DANGEROUS for Hon Benito if he does not desist from attempting to tamper with the credibility of the register.

Long Live Atwima Nwabiagya North
Long Live HE John Mahama
Long Live NDC
