Pro-forma invoice for 3.6m gov’t bus re-branding

The amount dissipated on re-branding the 116 government buses continues to generate controversy among Ghanaians.

It was uncovered in Parliament that government had made provision of GHC3, 649,000 for the re-branding of the buses meant for intra-city transportation.

The amount was reportedly drawn from the Petroleum funds for 2015.

Per the arrangement with Smarttys Management and Production, the company that did the job, branding for each bus cost the nation GHC31.000.

The minority has called for a probe into the matter but the Majority has defended the cost, saying it is justifiable.

The owner of Smarttys production is allegedly a popular actress and a TV presenter who is often seen at gatherings and rallies of the ruling party.
