Pro Bawumia Group Exposed 

A religious group calling itself Islamic Center for Virtue and Social Development was last Wednesday stripped naked after attempting to accuse the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC of deliberately denying Muslims their due.

the group further accused the NDC of describing all Northerners as Muslims and all Southerners as Christians.The group made the comment at  a press conference in Accra to support a religious comment made by the NPP running mate Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia.

According to them Bawumia’s  comments was to state his party’s position on Christian and Muslim pluralistic collaboration to the full benefits of the country.

However, the General Secretary of the NDC Zongo Caucus, Alhaji Alhasan Bene stressed that there is not portion in the constituency which state that Christians should be flag-bearers while Muslims becomes running mate.

He said the assertion by the group has rather exposed Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in attempting to undermine the Peaceful Co-existence among the various religious bodies in the country.

According to him  the NDC is the only political party in the country that has give muslims opportunity to add their voice in decision making.He recalled that in the 2000 election Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni a Muslim partnered the late prof. John Evans Atta Mills as running mate.

He urged the group to rather advised Dr. Bawumia and the NPP to stop playing politics with Islam
