Prez John Mahama Assures Of More Development And Social Policies In Second Term

President John Mahama, has stated that his second term in office will ensure continuation of Policies and Programs as well as the introduction of new initiatives that will complement the NDC’s SocialDemocratic principle of equitable development.

The President said this when he launched highlights of the NDC’s 2016 Manifesto last night dubbed “Changing lives, transforming Ghana” at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.

President Mahama, also mentioned that his government will place emphasis on Technical and Vocational Education in the next four years.

The NDC’s 2016 manifesto is focusing on four thematic areas, “Putting people first, building a strong economy for job creation, Expanding infrastructure for accelerated development and advancing transparent and accountable governance.”

According to President Mahama, the Vulnerable like the aged and disabled are to receive special attention in the next four year term of the NDC administration.

The aged who are not eligible to pension will be placed on monthly stipends.

This news received thunderous applause when President Mahama, announced this as part of the highlights of the 2016 Manifesto.

Meanwhile, President Mahama, begins a three day campaign tour of the Greater Accra region today.

He is expected to address a Durbar of Chiefs, religious leaders and party supporters at Kweku Panfu, Domeabra.

The President will address similar rallies at Bortianor, Weija/Gbawe, Anyaa Sowutuom and Akweteyman.
